Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters is pleased to announce the Leading Change Summit 2019: Bold conversations to end gender-based violence in a changing world. The conference will take place in Edmonton on February 19 – 21, 2019.
As conversations about sexual harassment, workplace harassment, domestic violence and other forms of gendered abuse flood the mainstream media, what are we learning about primary prevention work?
What does the public need? What can we do –as educators, facilitators, service providers, policy advocates, government leaders, systems navigators and others– to learn from each other and adapt our gender-based violence prevention work to our changing reality.
With increased interest in engaging men and boys in discussions on consent, gender norms, intimate partner violence and much more, there has never been a better time to dig deep into brave conversations to generate creative solutions to end gender-based violence.
Please save the date and share with your networks. A call for abstracts will be circulated later this summer.
