CIAFV Domestic Violence In the Workplace Project Team
Definition:
"Workplace violence is the threatened, attempted or actual conduct of a person(s) against a worker - singular or repetitive and unwelcome in nature, in the context of his or her employment - that causes or is likely to cause harm to the worker's physical or psychological well-being or dignity. It includes any threatening behavior which gives the worker reasonable cause to believe that he or she are at risk". AHS Community Sector WPV-Working Group Definition.Terms of Reference:
Meetings: monthly at Circle Square from 8:30 to 10:00 am except for July, August and November.Circle Square address: 11808 St. Albert Trail, City of Edmonton Community Services The CIAFV DV in the Workplace Project Team grew out of the 2009 CIAFV AMM and currently has nine members from EJHS, CSS, EPS, ITRAC, AHS, City of Edmonton, Alberta Labour/United Way of Alberta Capital Region, and CIAFV. We welcome new members who are interested in working in the area of DV in the Workplace. Our primary focus is to compile resources and support community initiatives around DV in the Workplace. Tasks for the project team include: reviewing documents and materials brought by members to the committee as well as a Canada wide environmental scan of implementation plans.
